Hospital security staff play a vital role in ensuring hospitals are welcoming, accessible and most of all, safe environments for patients, visitors and staff.
With a challenging remit covering the protection of buildings, valuable equipment and people, hospital security staff need to be highly trained and have in-depth knowledge of the particular hospital environment in which they will be working.
They also need to be high calibre, capable of diffusing potentially difficult situations and reacting efficiently if and when a breach of security arises.
Response Security Consultants hand-select all hospital security staff to ensure they are equipped to work professionally within the high-risk hospital environment, where unprovoked attacks, violence or abuse can arise in today’s binge drinking and drugs usage culture.
Dog Security within hospitals
Dog Security is very useful within hospitals as guard dogs are a big deterrent and ideal for patrolling exterior areas and car parks, helping safeguard vulnerable staff, visitors and vehicles.
Response Security Consultants dogs are very highly trained and well controlled, only reacting to the situation they are faced with. They will accept other people – staff, visitors, patients etc – within their environment and only react on command to a specific situation or threat. Our security dog handlers and security dogs are compliant to BS8517.
Each dog‘s formidable speed, agility and sense of smell means it can replace 3 static security officers, making dog security a very cost-effective option for hospitals.
Our dog teams are all trained to the high standards of obedience, agility and protection required by NASDU & B.I.P.D.T. All of our dog handlers are certificated with one of these groups.
Response Security Consultants Ltd is an associate member of NASDU.
All our dog handlers drive a fully marked, liveried vehicle which in itself acts as a high deterrent. Inside the vehicle, a special ‘made to measure’ cage keeps dogs safely housed during transit or for when the dog is not on patrol.
Response Security Consultants hospital security staff are also first aid trained, fire safety awareness trained, SIA licensed and trained to all Health and Safety regulations within the hospital.
